Abigail Rockwell

Cinematic jazz: a fresh blend of originals and standards.

Abigail Rockwell’s first album as a singer/songwriter.

“This album was born from beauty and friction. It is my love letter to the east and west coasts: the craggy edges of the east, the vast expanse of the west, and all the dark alleyways in between.”— AR
Why Noir? That haunting sax solo line running through Taxi Driver, the distant blow of a conch and those voodoo drums from I Walked With A Zombie... shadings of light and shadow... music and images that left a stamp of recognition on me like a raised brand I couldn’t get rid of.

That post-war, atomic age desperation still ripples that dark lake off Highway 2. Femme fatale, Lady Fate, I never know quite what she has in store for me. All I can do is surrender and go for a ride. She drives like the night, blinded but knowing, to a destination of her own choosing.

Music Noir in a post-modern world.

“Her voice is a bit deeper and fuller, but her phrasing, her use of occasional melisma, and the breathy sexiness of her sound call to mind Morgana King. I mean this as high praise.”— Gerry Geddes
“Although many vocalists have included torch singing in their repertoire, few have made it a specialty as has Abigail Rockwell. With her breathy, smoky voice and sultry demeanor, she is most reminiscent of Julie London. What Rockwell brings to this table of torch is poetry.”— Marilyn Lester
Abigail comes from a family of artists.

Her biography is in her work.

“All I could think of was the guy with the saxophone and what he was playing. It wasn’t a love song anymore, it was a dirge.”

Jay Lamont

NATIONAL ENTERTAINER/COMEDIAN JAY LAMONT RELEASES DEBUT R&B EP

Multi-Talented Comedian now also Recording Artist Jay Lamont has released his duo debut R & B singles off of his new digital EP project on Sweet Success Records LLC entitled “Celebrate and You & Me”. Jay Lamont - Born in Oklahoma City loved music from the day he was born. As a kid he was always able to impersonate other artist music and voices that allowed him the ability to win talent shows as a kid and later earn money showcasing his talents singing in cover groups while attending college at Langston University.

When Jay left Oklahoma he moved to Houston TX where he worked as a radio personality where he would joke and sing to his listeners and hence his comedic career took off. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, comedy and movies but ended up a hit on the comedy stage. Mixing clean comedy, music and vocal impression into one has made Jay Lamont an amazing talent. His unique style of musical comedic performance on stage has made it perfect for concert promoters as it only required no additional backline or adjustment of stage plot just a quality sound system and an audience ready to party. Jay has performed on main stage with R&B, Jazz and Funk artist such as Charlie Wilson, Frankie Beverley, New Edition, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, R. Kelly and many more. Even performing in front of these great names and amazing audiences Jay was still not content as he still felt that his true calling was singing as a recording artist.

In 2014, Jay Lamont put together a cover band and performed at his Alma at Langston University and it lit a fire in Jay’s heart. At that point Jay knew he no longer could put off his dream and decided to pursue his dream by recording his music to share with family, friends and fans around the world. The first thing Jay did was contact well known producer/writer Tre Balfour, Writers Janis Liebhart, Scott Mayo-Keys and Engineer Nelson Braxton with Sweet Success Records to help promote his EP project entitled “Here I am”. His single debut also entitled “You & Me” and Celebrate are  being released on Discokid along with the complete project this coming June 15, 2019. The Worldwide Music Directory

Hello Kenny Smith,

I am reaching out to artists and bands that seem serious about their music.
I own a website called The Worldwide Music Directory. This is a site where
music lovers go to discover new music. We have thousands of artists and bands listed in the directory.

It takes less than 5 minutes to list yourself, and is easy to do. This is a large directory of music for every genre.

I have been getting great feedback on the directory, plus we are heavy in all search engines. My site has been around for over 7 years. If you have time, check it out, I would love to see you in there.

There is a $3 fee to be listed, we have a small staff that we need to pay to help with the listings. This is a one time fee.

We also give one dollar to Americares charity, for every artist/band that lists themselves on the site. So, it is not only about the music, but also helping charities.

Visit www.worldwidemusicdirectory.com

Thanks,
John
